Ohel Hostel is a traveling camp experience, moving to a different location across Israel each month to follow the seasons.
As the weather warms up, we head north. As it cools down, we make our way south so you can always enjoy the best of nature, wherever it is.

You can choose from three accommodation options:
• Bed & Breakfast – Overnight stay with breakfast.
• Half Board – Overnight stay with breakfast and dinner.
Breakfast is served daily at 7:30 AM in the central camp area.
Dinner is served between 6:30 PM and 8:00 PM.
At Ohel Hostel, guests are asked to clear their dishes after each meal and wash them at the dishwashing station. It’s all part of the shared outdoor camping experience and helps keep our camp clean and welcoming for everyone.
Ohel Hostel serves vegetarian and dairy meals and follows a home-style kosher kitchen. All food products are kosher and purchased from suppliers with valid kosher certification.
As our kitchen is located outdoors, it does not have official kosher certification. We also cook and light campfires on Shabbat.
Yes, absolutely! Our kitchen is well-equipped to accommodate dietary needs, with personalized support from our chef.
When completing your booking, please note any allergies or dietary restrictions in the reservation form.
Before your stay, you’ll have a personal conversation with our chef to discuss your specific requirements. If needed, we’ll create a customized menu just for you.
Accommodation includes overnight stays in our furnished tents with mattresses, as well as breakfast and/or dinner according to your booking.
Your stay also includes shaded communal areas during the day, lighting at night, seating areas, mats, chairs, a campfire area, a children’s arts and crafts and games corner, drinking water and washing stations, eco-friendly toilets, outdoor showers, dining utensils, a hot drinks station, and a phone charging station.
Spend the day exploring the surrounding area or simply relax and enjoy the camp. Our central seating area is the perfect place to unwind, plan your day using our local recommendations and guides, or connect with fellow guests. You can set out on your own adventure or join people you’ve just met for a hike or day trip.
Our camp offers a free-flowing arts and crafts area and a children’s play corner for guests to enjoy at their own pace.
There are also plenty of activities and experiences available nearby through local businesses we recommend. Supporting local businesses is an important part of what we do, and it’s a great way for you to discover the area and enjoy an authentic local experience.
From time to time, we also host workshops and guided tours, which are available with separate registration.
Due to a number of unfortunate incidents, we no longer allow this. We appreciate your understanding.
Please bring your own bedding (a sleeping bag or sheets, pillow, and blanket), comfortable outdoor/hiking clothes, a flashlight or headlamp, a swimsuit, a small daypack, a hat, comfortable walking shoes, toiletries, a towel, and three reusable water bottles (refill stations are available throughout your stay).
If you play a musical instrument, we’d love for you to bring it along!
A detailed packing list tailored to your camp location will be sent to you after your booking is confirmed.
Bookings can only be made by guests aged 18 and over.
Families are always welcome! Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. We believe there’s no better way to connect with nature than from a young age, and we’re always happy to welcome little adventurers to the camp.
No, our tents don’t have air conditioning. We move our camp throughout the year to follow the seasons, so we’re always in locations with the most comfortable weather possible. The tents are shaded during the day, and the evenings are usually cool and pleasant—one of the best parts of sleeping outdoors!
- If you cancel more than 7 days before your arrival, you’ll receive a full refund. A ₪20 cancellation fee per guest will be deducted from your refund.
- Cancellation between 7 days and 48 hours before arrival: You will receive a 50% refund.
- Cancellation within 48 hours of arrival or during your stay: The full booking amount will be charged.
If the weather or the security situation makes the planned location unsuitable, we’ll move the camp to a different location with more suitable conditions.
If the weather or security situation makes it impossible to operate the camp anywhere in Israel, the camp will be rescheduled to a new date.
If you’re unable to attend the new date, you’ll receive a credit that can be used for any future Ohel Hostel camp within one year.
