River Camp | Sukkot 25.09-01.10
Sleep by the River
Some moments are hard to put into words: sitting in nature, listening to the sound of flowing water, and ending the day as the sun sets between the trees. River Camp offers a different kind of camping experience: days filled with nature, water, and simply enjoying time together. During the day, explore the area, go for a hike, relax by the water, and find quiet moments in between all the adventures. As evening arrives, return to camp, gather around the campfire, and let nature do the rest. We invite you to step away from your routine, get outside, and spend a few days in nature, sleeping in a tent, waking up to the fresh air, and enjoying a Sukkot holiday getaway with a difference.
About the Campsite
Ohel Hostel’s River Camp takes place along the banks of the Southern Jordan River, an open, peaceful and welcoming space where you can enjoy everything that makes camping special, without having to deal with the logistics. The tents are ready and waiting, and the camp includes comfortable seating areas, soft lighting, a shared dining area, a coffee station, and the feeling of a simple, relaxed camp that is connected to nature.
This is a family-friendly camp with a relaxed Galilee atmosphere, perfect for those who want to slow down for a few days, breathe, explore, spend time together, and experience the beauty of northern Israel the way it should be.
Geographical Region
The camp is located in the Jordan Valley Regional Council, close to the Valley of Springs , one of the most beautiful and unique areas in Israel.
The Jordan Valley is home to countless water sources, including the Sea of Galilee, the Jordan River, and numerous natural springs. At the same time, civilization is never far away, with shopping centers and everything you may need just a short drive from the camp. The area is also rich in educational and historical sites, such as the Kinneret Courtyard Museum, and offers plenty of opportunities to combine your stay with memorable visits to the many attractions nearby.
Sukkot is the perfect time to visit the area after the intense summer heat and before the colder winter months.
